Dear Shri Gadkari Ji,

I recently traveled from Delhi to Jaipur on the NE4 expressway, and I feel compelled to write this note of gratitude. As an Indian living in the United States, I am used to world-class highways and transport networks—but this trip made me realize that India is now building infrastructure that not only matches global standards but in many ways exceeds them.

The smooth lanes, organized exits, well-designed tolls, and uninterrupted stretches gave me an experience that reminded me of the interstate highways in America. For the first time, I drove on an Indian highway where speed, safety, and scale all came together. It wasn’t just about covering the distance faster—it was about the feeling of progress. Sitting behind the wheel, I felt a surge of pride, a sense of prosperity, and a deep belief that India is truly moving forward.

For someone like me, who left India years ago but carries its heartbeat everywhere, this journey was more than just a drive. It was a symbol of transformation. Often, we hear about challenges, but the expressway is a visible, concrete reminder of what good vision and execution can achieve. It gives me confidence that India is building the kind of foundation our future generations deserve.

That said, I’d also like to share a humble observation. While the expressway itself is outstanding, the last-mile connectivity still needs attention. Getting onto and exiting the highway isn’t always seamless. Local feeder roads, signage, and connecting routes can be confusing or underdeveloped. If these aspects are improved, it will not only enhance the travel experience but also ensure that nearby towns and villages truly benefit from this world-class infrastructure.

I want to thank you personally, Gadkari Ji, for your relentless push toward modernizing India’s roads. This expressway is not just a project—it is an emotion for Indians like me who look at it as a reflection of national progress. Please continue this momentum and also focus on bridging those last-mile gaps.

With gratitude and pride,

A proud Indian
